Journalistic translation

Together with literary and advertising translation, this forms part of the disciplines that combine technique with a special flair for writing. Its aim is thus to achieve the same communicative effect as the source text, meaning that the translator must have practical knowledge of the different journalistic genres, (informative, interpretative and argumentative), the textual conventions of the corresponding language, and essentially, be able to write an article to the same level as that of the journalist.
